In the southern part of the island, the sun shines 360 days a year. By midday every place in the shade is a welcomed relief. "Casa Fota", the only rural cottage in the community of Playa de Santiago, combines in a congenial manner the wishes and needs of the guests: On the small sunny patio sunloungers await for tanning, while the covered terrace in front of the house provides the longed for shade thereafter. From there one has a picturesque view of the small village Pastrana with its 20 inhabitants, 4 km away from the beach and the golf course, "Tecina Golf".
As one watches the fisherboots while lying on the beach, the country environment unfolds around you – a small goat herd climbs the steep cliffs, a chicken picks away for morsels by the roadside and a cat naps in the shade of a palm tree...

The house is situated in a quiet location, on a narrow road some hundred metres leading and ending there. The quality accomodations are in keeping with the highest standards. The Tasca nearby invites guests for a stop.
